Opening hours

Open daily throughout the year (except for the 24th and the 25th of December and Easter Sunday, March 31, 2024)
9.00 a.m. – 5.00 p.m. 

tickets are sold only till 4.30 p.m. Last admission to library halls is at 4:45 p.m.

We apologize – in the basic library tour, it is only possible to see the historical halls from the door, not to enter them (the books need a special microclimate, which we protect this way). Thank you for your understanding.

Entrance fee

Adults 150 CZK
Reduced 80 CZK
Family 300 CZK (1 or 2 adults and max. 5 children less than 15 years old)

Free of charges: Children less than 6 years old, holders of cards for the persons with a handicap, members of the religious orders and congregations, teachers accompanying groups of students, holders of ICOM cards

Reduced entrance fee: Children and teenagers less then 18 years old, students with ISIC cards less than 27 years old, teachers with ITIC cards, seniors (visitors aged 65 years and more)

Guide texts in English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Polish, Japanese, Russian, etc., can be borrowed by visitors from the library custodians.

For information about special tours through the interior of the Strahov Library, please e-mail erika.neumannova@strahovskyklaster.cz. The number of visitors is limited. We are sorry that we cannot satisfy all of those who are interested. Thank you for your understanding.

It is not necessary to order the non-special tour through the exposition.
