Important Information

• Tickets can be purchased for three tours: 1. Library, 2. Joint Abbey Tour (including the library, gallery, and historical parts of the monastery), and, if available, 3. Exhibition.
• The method for purchasing a ticket for the Joint Tour (Tour 2) is slightly different.
• The time indicated for the tour is the opening time of the tour route. An e-ticket is valid for the entire day and for the specific tour it was purchased for (from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM). When purchasing online, you enter your email address, and the e-ticket is attached to the email confirming a successful purchase.
• When entering the tour route, you must present the e-ticket in printed form or on the display of your mobile phone. Scan the QR code on the ticket at the turnstile, which will validate your ticket and it cannot be used again. Additionally, please show the ticket to the attendant, who will check the number of authorized persons and the type of admission.
• Some categories of tickets cannot be purchased online (student discount for ISIC cardholders, teacher discount through ITIC card, ICOM cardholders, members of orders and congregations, group tickets) – these can be purchased at the ticket office in the Church of St. Roch near the main monastery gate.
• A regular tour of the Strahov Library does not include entry into the library halls; they can only be viewed. This measure protects the stored books from damage due to increased humidity. Thank you for your understanding.
• From July 23 to August 3, the General Chapter of the Order will take place at the Strahov Abbey. During this time, some areas of the monastery will not be accessible to visitors; only the gallery will be open from the joint tour. Tickets for the joint tour will only be available for purchase at the ticket office at the main monastery gate.
