Analecta Praemonstratensia is a leading international academic journal devoted to the history, liturgy and spirituality of the Premonstratensian Order. Since its foundation in 1925, it has been published on behalf of the Commissio Historica Ordinis Praemonstratensis (Historical Commission of the Premonstratensian Order) and has established itself as the central forum for research into this Order.
The journal focuses on scholarly articles, editions of primary sources, reviews and reports on the Order’s monasteries and abbeys throughout the world. Particular emphasis is placed on the study of the legacy of the Order’s founder, Norbert of Xanten, as well as on the varied relationships between the Premonstratensians and other medieval orders.
