Strahov Abbey – Abbot’s Refectory
A drama with songs, slam poetry, and a happy ending.
Job is brave, but he keeps wondering why this happened to him—especially when he had everything so well “under control” and insured.
Where can you file a complaint about life? What do Job and Baťa have in common? Why did the dinosaurs have to die out? Is “why” the same as “what for”?
Job is sitting on the rubbish heap of his past, present, and future. To begin again, he needs a new perspective—one without simplistic ideas about himself, the world, or God.
Can he do it? Really? Good job!
Good Job is the sixth solo performance by Jan Horák. The main character is Job, who once had everything—and then lost it all. One of the key themes is how to talk to someone who is suffering. Much of the ancient text is taken up by the awkward responses of Job’s friends.
This production is not afraid to speak to young people about suffering—with humor, perspective, and openness.
Admission: 100–200 CZK
