Chapter of the Canonry 2025

On April 23, 2025, the members of the Strahov Monastery gathered for the “chapter of the canonry.” The first of two chapters held each year takes place regularly in the spring, on the Wednesday after the Solemnity of the Resurrection of the Lord. We share several photos from the opening liturgy, followed by a meeting of the Premonstratensian community, which some time ago defined its “vision, values, and mission” as follows:
VISION:
In awe of God, to encourage and transform ourselves and others on the path to the fullness of life.
MISSION:
In the place where the relics of St. Norbert are kept, we are called by God to live in relationship with Him and with one another. Common regular prayer is for us the foundation of our encounter with God and also of our freedom, which gives us space for conversion, enables growth, and leads to service. The individual gifts of each brother find expression in diverse forms of care for people. Our life is based on the Gospel. We build on proven experience and remain open to new forms, needs, and challenges.
